A Few Tips for Proper Jadeite Jade Jewelry Wear:
- We recommend that if you ever need a jeweler to work on your jadeite jade item, please make sure to tell them to never steam clean your jade. This is a common mistake.
- Please do not place your jade in any Ultra-sonic cleaning machine, or in any cleaning solutions.
- Chlorine and other chemicals found in pools, hot tubs, etc may cause harm to the jade and/or the mounting. It is best to remove your jade before any swimming.
- Last, we advice removing your jade rings before any gardening.
Always be aware and on the lookout for treated jade. Once jadeite jade has been exposed to many of the
dying, bleaching and other treatment agents, the jadeite jade’s structure can be compromised. The piece can then become fragile, dull, and even possibly leak acid or dye.
